Depending on the type of business you are developing, please keep in mind that you may be required to apply for other specialty licenses or permits through Bedford County or the Commonwealth of Virginia.

For those businesses that are located within the Town of Bedford boundaries, Business Licenses are issued by the Town and allow individuals or companies to conduct business within the Town’s limits. A flat annual business permit of $30 is required and renewal of business licenses should be done by the end of January every year. For more information on licenses and fees within the Town limits, visit the Town’s website.
